It also helps that it was a beautiful morning and I found some unblemished leaves on a young dogwood tree in my backyard (most of them had spots) and boy howdy do I love leaves. Flowers are okay, but leaves can be absurdly beautiful. I also noticed a spider my dog was sniffing at and I wanted to see how close I could get with the midrange lens I had attached. I don't really have a macro lens, and besides, if I took the time to switch to a different lens, the spider might have been gone. I'm not sure if I got a good photo of it though... we'll see.
More to come shortly.
EDIT: It seems all the leaf shots aren't of sufficient quality. Now the light is too harsh and I will have to try again once I am up that early with a nice morning. Even the spider ones didn't turn out as well as I'd hope, but there is one I do like.
